His mom calls him gDaniel Jacob Harm,h his cycling team-mates call him gHarmadilloh but you, however, can call him by his stage-name, gHARM.h All caps, make no mistake.
Despite a childhood spent being towed about by his folks to residences in over 35 different countries. HARM considers Seattle, to be his home.
HARM has spent his entire adult life pursuing his dreams. First, as an athlete. Which culminated in multiple national titles, his fit legs tired from multiple trips up and down the podium steps. And second, as a DJ, spinning electronic turn tables with the electro-pop group, gParty Tribe Trolls.h
This pursuit can be summed up in one of HARMfs multiple, non-sequiters, gPeople need to care less & dance more. End of story.h He says this early in our interview, rolling it from his tongue as if itfs law. I cough at the gorgeous simplicity of this perspective. He doesnft bat an eye, and continues. gPrior, I was scared to pursue my musical dreams. It took a minute, but finally, I obtained the courage to say edamn it all, letfs just do this!f And ever since, thatfs exactly what Ifve been doing.h
Another project of HARMfs, also pointed in an artistic direction, is the opening of his gallery, 5AM. Located in the downtown Seattle area, 5AM has grand intentions. gWefre going to unite the individual worldfs of art by showcasing emerging talent and throwing wicked, fun dance parties. Parties where people shake & jive... both literally and metaphorically.h

Whether based within a sense of entitlement or possibility, HARMfs perspective is refreshing. As we depart, I ask him for a closing thought. Over his shoulder, stepping out the door, he lobs, gPursue passion, not popularity. People can smell the difference.h |
