For the past ten years, no canoeist in the United States has been able to touch Jordan Malloch.

Hefs traveled the world, representing the United States at 2 different Olympics & a handful of World Championship events.  Along the way, hefs graduated from college, become married to an amazing woman, purchased & remodeled a home in the Northern Seattle are and has started a family... with their second child expected this Spring. Itfs rather safe to say, gJordan Malloch IS the American Dream.h

However, itfs not always been white picket fences, fluffy puppies & Costco memberships... Only weeks before to the 2008 Olympics, Jordan received an heart-breaking phone call. Apparently, internal, Olympic politics were preventing the United States from sending a canoe team to China. Despite the fact that Jordan was racing faster than any American canoeist in history, hefd be watching the Olympic Games from his home television.

At 30 years of age & after a lifetime of athletic pursuit, Jordan Malloch retired. Recently, over lunch, he gave me the skinny on the next chapter of his life.

gIfve transferred all the competitive energy Ifd previously reserved for canoeing races into a career as a commercial & residential realtor. I still spend a lot of my free time on the water, paddling outrigger canoes and stand up paddle (SUP) boarding.h

Imagine standing on a surfboard, using a canoe paddle to propel yourself forward... that image in your mind is pretty close to gSUP.h

gI really enjoy paddling. Now that I am retired from international competition I have to do something on the water to keep myself from getting too fat. Itfs a big change going from full time athletics to running a business. I really enjoy selling real estate, but it doesn't exactly keep me in the same kind of shape as when I was training full time...h

Athletically, the next event in Jordanfs sights is the Molokai Crossing. Itfs a 42-mile race starting on the Hawaiian island of Molokai & finishing on the shores of Oahu.

Regarding his real estate goals, Jordan says, gI am pretty competitive, I want to become the top realtor in the Seattle area. So, if you or anyone you know is looking to buy or sell a house, looking to invest in an income property or are looking for a space for their business, please let me know. I would enjoy the opportunity to help out.h

Judging from the way hefs gman handledh some of the worldfs best athletes over the past ten years, the Seattle real estate scene should consider itself warned.
